For over twenty-five years, we’ve operated neighborhood spaces in downtown New York.

Our work began with The Room - SoHo, the otheroom - west village, anotheroom - TriBeCa, the room - miami and the otheroom - venice beach. Each space has been created with the same intention: to offer a room where neighbors can gather comfortably, and where the presence of the business respects the people who live nearby.

These are spaces shaped by awareness of their surroundings and an understanding that good neighborhood places exist in relationship with the block they occupy. Over time, that consistency has helped build a reputation grounded in care, attentiveness, and coexistence.

Anotheroom, previously located at 249 West Broadway, is now preparing to open at 431 Washington Street.

While the address is new, the values behind the space are familiar. The goal is to create a room that fits naturally into the neighborhood, operates thoughtfully, and reflects what we’ve learned over more than two decades of stewardship in downtown Manhattan.

This location will also introduce something new for us: a morning coffee service. Not a traditional coffee shop, and not driven by trends, but a simple, intentional offering built on the basics. A way to open the doors earlier, bring a quieter daytime rhythm to the space, and offer neighbors a place to start the day.

Anotheroom at 431 Washington Street is being developed with a long-term mindset, shaped by experience and grounded in respect for the community it joins.
